Hi!My name is Connor Aidan Stewart Hunter (cash).I’m a professional debate coach and entrepreneur from Vancouver, Canada. Most recently I’ve changed careers to AI governance.I studied at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in the history honours program, writing my undergraduate thesis on US-Soviet climate science diplomacy in 2016.After graduating, I co-founded the Vancouver Debate Academy and was its founding director from 2016 to 2020.I have been an independent researcher and forecaster since 2020. I manage hundreds of forecasting questions on Manifold Markets.Most recently I was a 2025 Winter Fellow at the Centre for Governance of AI, where I worked with the Centre’s threat modelling team to quantify AI misuse risks.
